Water tracker

A free water tracker that counts every glass

Radar Lite is a free water tracker: set how many glasses you aim for, tap one each time you drink, and the day is done when you reach the number. The same works for tablets three times a day.

Radar Lite is free: no card, and nothing that turns into a subscription. For anyone 13 or over.

Habits on a phone: one tap each, with the week at a glance.
The problem

A tick a day doesn’t work for eight glasses

Most habit trackers have one tick a day, which is fine for a walk and useless for water. Eight glasses is eight moments spread across a day, and it is easy to lose count by lunchtime.

You need a count that goes up as you go, and a day that only counts as done when you get there.

What Radar does

Counted, not just ticked

Count up through the day

Set the number, like eight glasses or three tablets, and tap each one. Five of eight is five of eight, not a missed day.

A streak that means it

The day is done when the count reaches the number, so your streak counts the days you really did it.

Reminders when you want them

A reminder at the time you choose, and nothing when you’d rather not be told.

Share it if it helps

Share the habit with a friend or family member, and they see whether today is done.

How to

How to drink enough water through the day

Drinking more water is mostly about spreading it across the day rather than catching up in the evening. A count helps.

  • Decide on a number of glasses that suits you, and start there.
  • Tie glasses to things you already do: one with breakfast, one at each break, one with each meal.
  • Keep a glass or bottle where you work, in sight.
  • Tap each glass as you drink it, so you know where you are by lunchtime.
  • If you fall short, carry on tomorrow: a streak counts the days you reached the number.

Radar Lite counts each glass up to your number, marks the day done when you reach it, and can remind you at the times you choose. The same works for tablets, stretches or anything else you do several times a day.

Questions

Can I track something other than water?

Yes. Anything you do several times a day: tablets, stretches, breaks from the screen.

Is it free?

Yes. Radar Lite is free, with no card and no subscription.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Add it to your home screen and it works like an app, with notifications.

What if I drink more than my target?

The day is done once you reach your number. Set the number to what you are aiming for, and change it whenever you like.

Can I fix yesterday’s count?

Any of the last seven days can be ticked whole or marked not done from the week strip, so a forgotten day can be put right.
