For Odoo Custom and Odoo.sh users: every assigned activity, and whether you have time for it.
Radar reads the Odoo activities assigned to you — calls, emails, to-dos and meetings, on any record — and puts them on one screen with your calendar, your task lists and the dates from home, ranked by how close they are and what they cost if they slip.
Which Odoo it works with
Needs Odoo Custom, Odoo.sh or on-premise Odoo. The external API is not on Odoo Standard. Radar reads Odoo through its external API, and Odoo only offers that API on Custom, Odoo.sh and self-hosted Odoo. If you are on Odoo Standard, Radar cannot connect to it, and upgrading your plan to get the API costs more per user than Radar does. We would rather tell you that here than after you sign up.

That is all of it. Radar asks Odoo for mail.activity records assigned to you, and nothing else: not your colleagues’ activities, not the records around them, not the rest of the database. Each activity links back to the record it sits on, so Open takes you to the lead, the order or the task in Odoo.

What it looks like
Sam Ellis runs sales at Meridian Systems (a fictional company, like everyone in this example). On a Monday morning, Odoo holds eleven activities assigned to Sam across leads, quotations and a project. These are the three nearest:

Sam opens the first, rings Falcon Labs, and presses Done in Radar. Radar asks what happened, and sends Sam’s note to Odoo with the completion in one call, the same as pressing Done in Odoo.
Connecting it
- In Odoo, open your name → Preferences → Account Security → New API Key. Give it a name you will recognise, such as “Radar”.
- In Radar, Settings → Connections → Odoo: your Odoo address, the database name, your login email and the key.
- Radar checks the key, reads your activities, and draws your radar.
The key is encrypted as soon as it arrives (AES-256-GCM), and it is never sent back to a browser, including yours. Deleting the connection deletes the key and everything Radar read with it. Odoo 19 asks how long a new key should last: Radar reads the expiry date from Odoo where it can, and reminds you 14 and 3 days before the key runs out, so an expired key never looks like Radar breaking.
Odoo 19, JSON-2 and /jsonrpc
As of 25 Sep 2026: Radar talks to Odoo 19 and later through JSON-2, Odoo’s new external API, and to Odoo 17 and 18 through the older /jsonrpc. It asks your Odoo which version it is before choosing. Odoo removes /jsonrpc from Odoo Online in version 21.1, and Radar already uses JSON-2 wherever Odoo offers it; /jsonrpc stays only for the versions that have nothing else. Our plan date for having no Odoo Online connection left on /jsonrpc is 30 April 2027. The verification above was made on Odoo 18, through /jsonrpc; the JSON-2 path is tested against a mock Odoo 19 until it has been checked against a real account, and says so.
