Type a habit into each row you want; blank rows print blank, for writing in by hand. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or kept.

How to use a habit tracker

  • Start with two or three habits, not eight. A short list you keep beats a long one you abandon in the second week.
  • Make each one small and checkable: “walk for 20 minutes”, not “get fit”. You should know at a glance whether today’s box gets a tick.
  • Tick it the same time each day, before bed or with the morning coffee, so the tracker becomes part of the habit.
  • Mark the misses honestly. A cross is information: three crosses on the same weekday says the habit needs a different time that day.
  • Look back at the end of the month, keep what worked, and print the next one.

The same tracker on your phone, free

Paper works until you are away from it. Radar Lite is the habit tracker on its own, free: tick a habit in one tap, see the week at a glance and keep your streak, with a reminder at the time you choose if you want one. Habits done several times a day, like glasses of water, count up to the day’s total. And you can share the habits you choose with an accountability partner, who sees whether each is done.

Questions

How do I use a printable habit tracker?

Write each habit in a row, put the sheet somewhere you will see it every day, and tick the day’s box when you have done it. At the end of the month, look at the pattern and print the next one.

What habits should I track?

Small, daily things you can answer yes or no to: drinking water, a walk, reading, a set bedtime, no phone after ten. Two or three to start; add more once those stick.

Is there a free habit tracker app?

Yes: Radar Lite is free, for anyone 13 or over. It does what this sheet does, with streaks, reminders and an optional accountability partner.
