An MOT reminder a month ahead, with the rest of the car beside it
Radar gives you an MOT reminder a month before it is due, with the car tax, insurance, service and breakdown cover alongside, so booking the garage is never a last-week scramble.
£10 a month at the founding price until 31 March 2027, locked for 24 months. Your money back within 14 days if it isn’t for you.

The car’s dates are spread across five letters
The MOT is on the certificate, the tax with the DVLA, the insurance in an email, the service in a book in the glovebox and the breakdown cover somewhere else again. Each one comes round once a year, which is exactly often enough to forget.
And garages book up, so a reminder the day before is no reminder at all.
Every date the car carries
MOT a month ahead
Enough time to book a garage that suits you. The date is on your last MOT certificate, or on gov.uk’s MOT checker.
Tax, insurance, service, cover
Car tax two weeks ahead, insurance four weeks ahead so there is time to compare, the service and breakdown cover three weeks ahead.
Your driving licence too
The photocard needs renewing every ten years, and Radar reminds you two months before it expires.
Moves on by itself
Mark the MOT done and it moves to next year.
How to keep on top of the MOT and the car’s other dates
A car carries six dates a year, each on a different piece of paper. Getting them in one place takes ten minutes once.
- The MOT date is on your last certificate, and on gov.uk’s MOT history checker by registration.
- The car tax date is on your V5C reminder or the DVLA’s vehicle enquiry service.
- The insurance renewal date is on your schedule; the breakdown cover’s on its own.
- The service is due by date or mileage, whichever comes first: check the service book.
- The driving licence photocard has its expiry date on the front.
Put each one somewhere that reminds you ahead: a month for the MOT, so there is time to book a garage that suits you, and four weeks for insurance, so there is time to compare. Radar asks for all six in Life setup and moves each on to next year when it is done.

Questions
How early does Radar remind me about the MOT?
A month before it is due, as standard. You can change that to anything from a week to nine months, or no reminder.
Can I get the dates without an account?
Yes. The free UK life-admin year asks the same questions and gives you a calendar file and a PDF.
Does Radar check the MOT date for me?
No. You give it the date, from your certificate or gov.uk’s MOT checker. If you don’t know it, Radar adds a task to find it out.
